And ... he wanted the skin removed, without anaesthetic, by Echo herself. In public.



The strain of the passing days had weakened the separation between Echo's mind and her emotions, and when Arthur made this terrible demand, the last barrier snapped. Angrily she refused even to consider such an outrageous idea, demanding that he choose something else ... but Arthur was adamant. The skin of Blood Demon was the only thing he would accept to free the son of Blood and Echo.
